What questions should you ask when preparing for a job interview?

Guide to preparing for a job interview, checking job description, shift, payment, transportation and accommodation conditions.

The best way to prepare for a job interview is to not only explain yourself, but also to prepare questions to understand the scope of the offer. Do not decide until the duties, working hours, payment method, transportation and accommodation conditions of the position are clarified.

Describe yourself briefly

Prepare an introduction that can explain in two minutes which city you are in, what hours you can work, your experience and what position you are interested in.

If you have no experience, give a real example from school, organization, volunteering, customer communication or teamwork.

Prepare questions about the offer

Ask about job description, workplace, shift, break, leave, pay day and premium/deduction calculation, if any. Clarify how daily or periodic work statements apply.

If there is transportation support or accommodation, find out the address, sharing arrangement, fee and responsible person.

  • What exactly is the mission?
  • When does the shift end?
  • How to document payment?

Protect your borders

Be wary of unnecessary requests for personal documents, bank information or money. If there is a task or style of communication that you are uncomfortable with, state this clearly before making a decision.

Requesting a written summary to be sent to you after the meeting reduces misunderstandings.

final check

After the interview, compare the task, city, location, time, payment, transportation, accommodation and start date with your own notes. Submitting an application does not mean automatic job placement.

Conditions may vary depending on the posting, business and working model. Before making a decision, confirm the duties, hours, payment, transportation and accommodation together.
